House Committee schedules hearings on organ transplants and pipeline safety

This week, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce is conducting two subcommittee hearings and a full committee markup session.

The first subcommittee hearing is organized by the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. The focus will be on ensuring that the nation’s organ procurement and transplant system prioritizes patient safety. This hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:15 AM ET in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

The second subcommittee hearing will be conducted by the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy. It will address pipeline safety policy, specifically examining the reauthorization of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) pipeline safety program. This hearing is set for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:30 AM ET in Room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Additionally, there will be a full committee markup session held by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to discuss two bills. This session is planned for Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
