NATIONAL PARK SERVICE: Youth Conservation Corps Opportunities at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

National Park Service issued the following announcement on April 2, 2020.

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is now accepting applications for the 2020 summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program. (See link below.) Nine YCC enrollees will be recruited. These positions will be located at Spring Canyon, Fort Spokane, and Kettle Falls. Please indicate on your application the area or areas that you are interested in working. Positions are open to young men and women who have attained the age of 15 but must not have reached the age of 19 during the term of employment. This will be a non-residential camp, and all enrollees must provide a social security number prior to entrance into the program. The estimated period of employment is estimated at this time to be June 15, 2020 through August 7, 2020. Enrollees will be paid minimum wage for a 40-hour work week. 

To apply, contact the National Park Service or a local high school for a YCC application form. Forms are also available through https://www.nps.gov/subjects/youthprograms/ycc.htm. In light of the on-going COVID 19 situation, applications will only be accepted through mail or email. All of our offices are currently closed to the public. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 23, 2020. Please send completed applications to: National Park Service, 1008 Crest Drive, Coulee Dam, WA 99116.
