City of Colville issued the following announcement on July 20.
The City of Colville is administering a Small Business Stabilization Grant program made possible by federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding. The City has committed up to $100,000 for small business assistance that will be distributed in the form of grants of up to $5,000, and will be awarded to local businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many local businesses are feeling the effects of the pandemic and the uncertainty that lies ahead. The City of Colville wants to make sure that the funding provided by the CARES Act makes its way into the hands of these businesses as soon as possible. The funds provided by the federal CARES Act must be distributed by October 31, 2020 or they will revert to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
