City of Colville issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.

On October 14, 2020 Northeast Tri County Health District (NETCHD) learned of a positive COVID-19 case related to Colville City Hall. We received notification today, October 15, 2020 of a second positive case being reported. All other City Hall staff test results have been negative to date. Deep cleaning of the building has been completed and City Hall is currently planning on re-opening for in-person services on October 19th at 8:00 a.m.

NETCHD will notify individuals who were identified as close contacts within 24 hours to provide instructions. If you were not notified as a close contact but are concerned about possible exposure, we ask that you watch for symptoms over the next 14 days. Symptoms are often mild and may include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell. It is also encouraged to limit your interaction with others during this this time and be extremely diligent about practicing proper mask use, social distancing, and frequent hand washing.

If you have additional questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 or possible exposure you may visit our website at: www.netchd.org or call 509-684-2262. All other questions can be directed to Colville City Hall at: 509-684-5094.

In coordination with NETCHD, City Hall will review all COVID-19 safety protocols within the office to ensure the health and safety of the public and staff. Continued COVID-19 safety measures, including health screenings, wearing masks, sanitizing high touch surfaces, and social distancing will remain in place.
