Stevens County issued the following announcement on Nov. 20
DUTIES: Primary responsibility is to provide direct service to mentally ill clients. Conduct screenings, intake evaluations, and mental health assessments, establish an accurate DSM health diagnosis, and develop treatment plans. Additionally, provide therapy for a wide variety of clients in the agency, hospital, schools, and the community. Provide modalities of individual therapy, case management, family therapy, and group therapy. Document all sessions and maintain clinical, administrative, and MIS records. Coordinate treatment with Program Aides and Case Managers. Attend case conferences of clients with team and supervisor. Serve as a member of the crisis response team. Perform other duties as assigned by the Mental Health Services Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants will need a Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Additionally, you must be eligible for at least an Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification with the WA State Department of Health. Additional training needed for DMHP (Designated Mental Health Professional). Must have good written & oral communication skills. Computer literacy desirable – clinical software used. Abstract of driving record for past three years required. Satisfactory criminal history backgrounds check results are a condition of employment.

WORK SETTING: This position is located in Colville, WA. Colville is located 69 miles North of Spokane in the beautiful mountain setting of Steven's County. The local area has a large variety of outdoor activities to include 2 ski resorts, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, etc. as well as the many social activities such as theatre and the arts located in nearby Spokane. County population is 40,000 in a 2500 sq. mile area. The agency provides behavioral healthcare treatment services for Stevens, Ferry, and Lincoln Counties.
