PRESS RELEASE

On April 21, 2022, in State v. Lance Bowers, an Okanogan County jury returned verdicts of guilty on Murder in the First Degree - Domestic Violence, 2 counts of Assault in the First Degree with Firearms Enhancements, Reckless Burning in the First Degree, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree.

The Okanogan County Prosecutor’s office would like to thank the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office, its lead Detective Kreg Sloan, all law enforcement, prosecutors, and support staff who assisted in the successful completion of this case.  I also would like to thank the Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer and his Chief Criminal Deputy William Halstead, who assisted in the two weeks long trial.

A Pre-Sentence Investigation will be performed prior to sentencing.  A sentencing date will be set by the Okanogan County Superior Court.
