The Chewelah Fire Department was called to a ruptured natural gas line at a residence in the 100 block of N Baker St.  Crews quickly arrived on scene and shut the gas line off to the residence.   A large chunk of snow and ice had fallen from the roof, striking the gas line, rupturing it.  Avista was also called to the scene to ensure no other damage was present.
