District 1 crews responded to a single car accident on Swenson at Peggy Way. The car left the road and took out a power pole, knocking out power to the area.
The driver was the only occupant and was transported to Sacred Heart.
Some power was restored by Inland Power but some could be without power most of the night.
Traffic was shut down for about 3 hours (though some traffic was let through for a short time) as a power line was across the road and then the tow truck removed the vehicle.
In addition to Fire District 1, Stevens County Sheriff, AMR, Deer Park Ambulance, and Inland Power were all on scene.
