Emma Lena Baker, a former Curlew Elementary and High School standout, saw her current collegiate team, the Whitman Blues, defeated 56-35 by the Hardin–Simmons Cowgirls during the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.

The matchup, held at Mabee Complex at 8 p.m., marked the first time in the tournament that Whitman faced the Hardin–Simmons Cowgirls.
