N.E.W. Alliance Counseling is currently hiring for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant/Behavioral Health Tech. at our Evaluation & Treatment Facility.
About This Position:
TITLE: Certified Nursing Assistant/Behavioral Health Technician – Evaluation and Treatment Facility (1.0 FTE)
DUTIES: Primary responsibility is to provide “Crisis Stabilization” and related services to consumers who are experiencing a mental health crisis and are admitted to the Evaluation and Treatment (E & T) Facility. This includes assisting consumers with self-care and other activities of daily living; ensure proper care of consumer’s health conditions; monitoring consumers for treatment response, provide interventions as directed by “E & T Facility’s Psychiatrist” and provide integration of care with instructions of nursing staff, provide interventions to maintain consumer safety/stability and report any concerns to the Nurse in charge, and other related duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Successful applicant must have Washington State Department of Health credential as a “Certified Nurse Assistant” or can be credentialed through the Washington State Department of Health as an “Agency Affiliated Counselor” and a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with persons suffering from mental disorders is strongly preferred. Able to communicate in oral and written form. Computer literacy desirable – clinical software used. Abstract of driving record for past three years required. Satisfactory criminal history backgrounds check results are a condition of employment.

WORK SETTING: This position is located in Colville, WA. Colville is located 69 miles North of Spokane in the beautiful mountain setting of Steven's County. The local area has a large variety of outdoor activities to include 2 ski resorts, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, etc. as well as the many social activities such as theatre and the arts located in nearby Spokane. County population is 40,000 in a 2500 sq. mile area. The agency provides behavioral healthcare treatment services for Stevens, Ferry, and Lincoln Counties.
