This year for Better World Day, Kettle Falls Elementary School 1st Graders spent time focusing on how to help our local Food Bank and help promote this year’s Town & Country Day Celebration. In an effort to help raise food for the Food Bank, 1st Graders went around our community sharing bags and a note describing their project. Then a few days later on Better World Day, 1st Graders returned to the locations they had left bags and collected the food in bags and wagons. When they returned to school students hung posters to help promote the fun activities for this year’s Town & Country Days Celebration. The 1st Grade Food Drive was a huge success and the classes made a special delivery to the Kettle Falls Food Bank on Monday after Better World Day.
