National Public Lands Day
Description
Come out to Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area for a National Public Lands Day & Bioblitz Celebration! On September 24th, visitors are invited to sign-up for various public
service projects around the site including a beach cleanup, working in a historic garden, and more. Projects are family-friendly, and volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and fee-free
federal lands voucher. Sign-ups occur in-person at the Interpretive Center from 10am-4pm. Yaquina Head is also hosting a bioblitz on this day. Coordinated with the iNaturalist app,
a bioblitz is a citizen science effort to record as many species within park boundaries as possible. Rangers will be on site to give tutorials and lead guided bioblitz hikes. Prizes are
