6.4% of Okanogan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Okanogan County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,149 people out of the 41,966 living in Okanogan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Okanogan County has increased compared to the 5.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Okanogan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 16,718 people who had a job during that time, 107 were employed in the Armed Forces and 16,611 belonged to the civilian labor force.
