Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie of Kentucky and Congressman Gary Palmer of Alabama announced the first hearing of the 119th Congress for the Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigations. The hearing is titled "Examining the Biden Administration’s Energy and Environment Spending Push."

"In its final months, the Biden-Harris Administration handed out billions of dollars in energy and environment grants and loans at an unprecedented pace, exacerbating concerns that appropriate vetting and due diligence reviews may not have occurred for some of these awards," said Chairmen Guthrie and Palmer. "This hearing will provide an opportunity for the Committee to examine this surge in spending and help identify potential misuse of federal funds."

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:30 AM ET. It will take place at 2322 Rayburn House Office Building. The event will be open to both the public and press, with a livestream available online at energycommerce.house.gov.

Questions regarding this hearing can be directed to Calvin Huggins via email. For press-related inquiries, Zach Bannon is the contact person.
