House committee schedules markup for twelve proposed bills

Congressman Brett Guthrie, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, has announced a Full Committee Markup session to review 12 bills. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET in the Rayburn House Office Building.

The bills under consideration include the Precision Agriculture Satellite Connectivity Act (H.R. 1618) and the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences Codification Act (H.R. 1455). Other legislative proposals set for discussion are the NTIA Policy and Cybersecurity Coordination Act and the Advanced, Local Emergency Response Telecommunications Parity Act.

The agenda also features the Promoting United States Wireless Leadership Act of 2025 and H.R. 1737, which directs the Secretary of Commerce to report on a potential trans-Atlantic submarine fiber optic cable linking the U.S., Virgin Islands, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Additional bills include the Understanding Cybersecurity of Mobile Networks Act (H.R. 1709), Global Investment in American Jobs Act (H.R. 1679), SECURE Notarization Act of 2025, Consumer Safety Technology Act, Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act (H.R. 1721), and Awning Safety Act of 2025.
