Congressman Brett Guthrie, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, along with Congressman Bob Latta, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy, has announced the first hearing for the 119th Congress. The hearing, titled "Powering America’s Future: Unleashing American Energy," is set to take place on February 5, 2025.

The event will focus on discussing strategies to achieve energy dominance in the United States. Chairmen Guthrie and Latta stated, “Affordable and reliable energy is key to America’s economic success and national security. Alongside President Trump, we will work to return our nation to energy dominance, lower prices at the gas pump, and help to create family-sustaining careers in the energy industry.” They emphasized that this hearing would provide an opportunity for key stakeholders to present their views on achieving these goals.

The hearing is scheduled for 10:15 AM ET at Room 2123 in the Rayburn House Office Building. It will be open to both the public and press and can be accessed via a livestream on the Energy and Commerce Committee's website.

For inquiries related to this hearing, Kaitlyn Peterson can be contacted via email. Press-related questions should be directed to Ben Mullany.
