House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Subcommittee on Health Chair Brett Guthrie have jointly announced a subcommittee markup of 19 bills to take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET in the 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.

In a statement, Chairs Rodgers and Guthrie expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming event, emphasizing the positive impact the proposed legislation could have on healthcare in America. Rodgers and Guthrie stated, "These bipartisan bills will help improve the health and wellbeing of patients and caregivers across America. We’re proud of the hard work that Members both on and off the Energy and Commerce Committee have done to bring forth these proposals, and we look forward to considering them at next week’s markup."

The legislative proposals to be considered during the markup cover a wide range of healthcare issues, including Alzheimer's disease, organ transplant discrimination prevention, and emergency medical services for children, among others. Some of the bills on the agenda include the NAPA Reauthorization Act, Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act, and the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act of 2024.

The announcement also included details on how the public and press can access the hearing, which will be live streamed online at https://energycommerce.house.gov/.
